TOURISM stakeholders in the Kingdom got to hear about how they can maximise the potential of the Kerry-Manchester route at a series of workshops this week around the county, including one in Ballygarry House Hotel on Thursday morning.

Those attending were advised on how to attract visitors from the northwest of England to experience Kerry and how to capitalise on the opportunity for their businesses once the Ryanair route begins to operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays from March 29.

Kerry Airport, with the support of Kerry County Council, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland hosted the seminars in Killarney, Tralee, Listowel and Dingle, which heard from experts like Eimear Ryan, Joint Advertising and Marketing Manager Ryanair and Cormac Ó Súilleabháin of Tourism Ireland in Great Britain.
