TRALEE Art Group will launch their annual Summer Exhibition of work this Friday, June 4.

Due to ongoing restrictions, they felt as a group, that bringing their works online would be more suitable to both artists and public alike. The theme this year is “Wild” and members have created an eclectic selection of diverse and colourful works.

The exhibition will run online for one month on www.traleeartgroup.com and the Tralee Art Group Facebook page where people can see nearly forty pieces of art.

Despite the numerous lockdowns and restrictions over the last 16 months, Tralee Art Group members have been very busy.

“Exploring and nurturing creativity being one of the primary ways to endure the difficulties, we felt, as a group, that going online was the best option to maintain connection and communication with our members,” said Ber Earley.

“Members of every age were keen take on the challenges of technology and photography to be part of our monthly Zoom meetings and to get images of their art online. This step resulted in an online Christmas Sale of work and bimonthly profiling of our members on our website and Facebook.

“We are currently working in collaboration with staff and residents of Our Lady of Fatima Home, Tralee to create a mural there,” added Ber. See some of the art below…
