TRALEE Rowing Club are hosting an open day on Sunday September 6 at their base in the Marina.

Due to the completion of the new boat house at the canal, Tralee Rowing Club wish to recruit new members from 11 years upwards to adults of all ages.

The club is looking to add to its just under 50 strong membership by inviting people down to check out their facilities.  The open day will run from 11am to 2pm and its free for anyone wishing to try their hand at rowing.

“We’re delighted now to have the space and capacity to accept new members,” said Heidi Giles of Tralee Rowing Club.

“It’s an opportunity for people to sit into a rowing boat and give it a go. If you don’t want to sit in the boat, we have a rowing machine you can try, so you can get a bit more of an idea of what’s involved,” said Heidi.

“There’ll also be a chance to look around our boathouse because people are a bit fascinated about what has gone on with it in a course of a year. So we’re open to visitors for any reason,” she said.

If you’re interested in coming long text Heidi on 087-2139017.
