The weather was unkind to us last week resulting in the postponement of 2 swims. Round 7 of the World Series was to take place last Wednesday but high winds delayed the swim until last Monday eve. Also The Blennerville to Fenit Swim was postponed until Saturday 13th September again due to wind.
Final Swim of the year

Round 8 and last of our swims for the year, The Gerald Walsh Memorial Cup takes place this Sunday at 4pm from the slip . This will be a very closely fought race as swimmers compete for the final points for overall and Group awards . There will be a BBQ afterwards . All welcome !

Awards Night

Awards Night Tickets are now on sale and going fast €35 each ( heavily subsidised ! ) It promises to be a great night with a sit down meal , then we have 15 awards for presentation followed by dancing and craic agus ceol with Sean Crowley and Celebration .

Loads of spot prizes. Come along and celebrate a great year of swimming with your family and friends and cheer on the award winners . 1st , 2nd and 3rd in each group , winners of perpetual trophies and of course The Swimmer Of The Year ……and a promise of NO long boring speeches …! Hardman Event

Six Menbers of the club completed in the recent Hardman In Killarney . This consisted of a 3.8 km swim , 180 km cycle followed by a full 42km marathon ! Congratulations to Milosz Wojcik ( won it outright in a time of 10 hrs 18 mins .) John Roche , Joe Roche , Padraig Kelly , Alison Reidy and Stephen Reidy .
