Winter Swimming
We were greeted in Fenit , on Sunday , with a strong wind and overcast drizzle . 14 swimmers showed up to take on the challenge . There was a race planned , but the big waves put a halt to that and everyone just did their own swim with Mags OSullivan managing a nice 15 minute swim.
There will be an Easter Hamper up for the Easter draw for all swimmers and we now have a points system in place where The Winter Swjimmer of The Year will be chosen!
The air temp was up at 11c which brought the water temp up to 6.2c . That’s a big increase on last Sunday and a huge increase on Monday when Bob Fitsimons measured the water temp at the bathing slip to be 3.5c .

The event will be held in the Tralee Sports & Leisure Complex on Saturday the 7th of February 2015 at 6.00pm
Please support this very worthwhile event. Everyone is welcome to come along .

AGM
It’s that time of the year again for our AGM. Join us at 8pm on Wednesday 4th of Feb, in the Meadowlands, Tralee. Many of the officer posts have been filled with nominations already but if anyone is interested in a post let us know.
Looks like the committee are happy to be re-elected also but again please feel free to nominate at will ! We would ask that all 2014 members attend . Don’t worry ! You won’t be asked to do a job unless you want one ! We do however want your opinion on changes , improvements or upgrades or anything else !
We hope to have our tide tables with the 2015 programme in the next few weeks.
