Second Swim – The second swim in. The World Series for The Paddy O’Sullivan Cup, took place last Monday night in spectacular conditions again, with the sun shining and sea flat.
There were a total of 85 swimmers taking part with the race starting at the bathing slip, around the buoys and finishing at the beach.
Saltiest time of the night went to Hugh Stuart. After Handicaps were applied David Smith emerged as the winner of Group A and The Paddy OSullivan Cup.
Group B winner was Paul Prendergast and Group C winner was Tom Brosnan. We will have the Prizegiving for the first two races at the next swim.
Third Swim – The 3rd swim takes place this Sunday evening at 5pm and is arguably our toughest race.
It will start at the beach and head out and around The Wheel House Rock and back to the beach. Approx 1800 metres. We are hoping to have a BBQ afterwards.
Temps – The water temperature in Fenit has been touching 15c degrees in the last week and is very pleasant . If you haven’t been in yet, now is the time !
