TRALEE Bay Wetlands Centre has won further recognition for their efforts to promote green tourism and environmental responsibility at the Green Hospitality Awards in Dublin last Thursday, collecting the 2015 award for Responsible Activity Provider.

The Green Hospitality Programme recognises the efforts of hoteliers, tourism destinations and activity providers in reducing their environmental footprint and promoting environmental awareness.

“We’d like to thank all of our visitors throughout the year for their continued support for our efforts – we wouldn’t be able to do anything without them,” said a Tralee Bay Wetlands Centre spokesperson.

It has been a good year for the centre – they were runners up at the Irish Responsible Tourism Awards, in the ‘Best in a Marine or Coastal Environment’ category.

Closer to home, The Wetlands also received a Business Premises Award from Tralee Chamber Alliance.
