BORG Warner employees, including those from the Tralee branch of the company, took part in the Hardman Triathlon in Killarney on Saturday last as part of a series of team building exercises.

Twenty-seven workers from all over Europe, including Tralee employees were involved in the challenge as they worked in teams of three to finish the arduous task.

The aim of the event was to create a stronger sense of solidarity and community within the entire company as a whole.

“The event was a total success and a great opportunity for our employees from facilities all over Europe to demonstrate their ‘can-do’ attitude,” said Nick Belton, Borg Warner Plant Manager Tralee.

“It was a welcome possibility to foster the relationship among the participants and create a common corporate identity,” he finished.

The facility on the Tralee Monavalley Industrial Estate in County Kerry currently includes over 200 full-time employees and is one of Borg Warner’s 18 European locations.

The company is one that is well known for getting involved in local communities with the Tralee branch taking part in many large-scale local events, including the 2015 New Year fireworks display, toy drives for St. Vincent de Paul and numerous other community-related events.
