Tralee boxing club made the long drive to Dungarvan Co. Waterford for the Boys 1 to 6 Munster Championships early saturday morning last, with 2 coaches and nine boxers.
We were hopeful of a medal, indeed all clubs are hopeful and Munster medals are hard to come by.
We were delighted to come away with two champions Willie Faulkner Boy 1 44.5kg and Ainle Foley, Boy 2 48kg .
We also have John Murray Boy 1 40kg in the final next week. So now its back to the grindstone next week as the boys prepare for All Ireland glory in the National Stadium Dublin in the coming weeks.
