As part of the IABA’s programme of events to celebrate Her Outdoors Week August 8th-14th, Tralee Boxing Club will be holding a free Boxing on the Beach workshop, with the aim of encouraging women and girls to get outside, get active, and to introduce them to the beautiful art of boxing. (weather permitting)

.

Ireland has an incredible wealth of female boxing talent. Our female boxing stars have taught the world that strength and aggression is just one side of the coin in the boxing game with skill, speed, intelligence and determination being just as effective in the making of champions.

Our 2 hour Boxing on the Beach workshop will concentrate on introducing basic skills in a non contact session. We will develop technique, movement, speed and fitness in a fun, social and empowering environment, followed by an optional dip in the ocean to cool off.

Let the power of the waves inspire you to develop your own natural strength and self confidence!

TBC’s Boxing on the Beach takes place on Sunday 14th August from 3-5pm. It is a free class and available to females only. No previous boxing experience necessary, women and girls of all fitness levels welcome.

For further details or to sign up, please contact us on Tralee Boxing Club 22 Facebook page. Places are limited so sign up now.

Tralee Boxing Club has a position available for a trainee boxing coach for the 2022-2023 season. No previous experience needed, all training and necessary documentation will be provided by the club.

The successful applicant would ideally have an interest in sports, fitness or nutrition, be comfortable training children and adults and have a positive, encouraging, team player mind set.

For further details or to apply for the position, please contact Pat on 086 194 2824, or Lynda on 087 766 3406.

TBC will hold a flag day to raise awareness of the club and funding for the upcoming season on 11th and 12th of August at Garvey’s Supervalu Tralee.

.

We will set up stands at both front and back entrances, from 11 am to 7pm on both days. Volunteers for both days are badly needed.

Any club members who may be available to help out manning a station for a couple of hours, please contact Lynda on Tralee Boxing Club WhatsApp,  or Tralee Boxing Club 22 Facebook page. We are extremely grateful to our friends at Supervalu for the support and hope to enjoy a good turn out for the event.
