TRALEE Chamber Alliance has published a brand new #LoveTralee 2018 Calendar to raise funds to purchase couch-beds for parents of children in the Cashel Ward at University Hospital Kerry.

The President of Tralee Chamber Alliance, Aidan Kelly, said: “We are approaching Christmas and it’s inevitable that many parents or guardians will spend much of the festive season with their sick children in the Cashel Ward at University Hospital Kerry. In some cases the parents or guardians will have to sleep in an uncomfortable chair or even on the floor.

“Regardless of the time of year, this only adds to what is already a stressful time for families. Tralee Chamber Alliance recognises the wonderful work of the staff at the Cashel Ward. We hope that the sale of the 2018 #LoveTralee Calendar will contribute to the purchase of the necessary furniture that may alleviate this difficult situation for patients, parents and staff in the Cashel Ward. The calendar, which is also a strong marketing tool for the town, will make a wonderful gift for clients, customers, family and friends in Tralee and further afield and we are encouraging everyone to get their copies before the end of the year.”

A number of key local events are already marked in the calendar which features portraits of the 12 monthly Outstanding Tralee Business People of 2017. They have each been recognised for their extraordinary commitment to their customers and the town of Tralee through their business and working lives.

“As you move through the calendar from month to month, you’ll agree that Tralee-based photographer, Pauline Dennigan, has beautifully captured the personalities of each business person,” said Aidan Kelly.

He thanked Team Bramble from Tralee Tidy Towns who teamed up with Tralee Chamber Alliance to short-list the business people in this calendar who were presented with specially commissioned handmade glass pieces and wooden bowls from local craft makers, Terence MacSweeney and David Condon.

The 2018 #LoveTralee Calendar is also on sale for only €10 from various outlets including Garvey’s Supervalu, Kerry Book Shop, and First Chapter at Manor West Retail Park and the Tralee Chamber Alliance Office, 18 Denny Street, Tralee, email an order to info@Tralee.ie or call 066 7121472.
