Tralee Chamber Announces AIB As SME Partner For 2022/2023

TRALEE Chamber Alliance has formally announced that AIB has come on board as their official SME partner for 2022/23.

Tralee Chamber has undergone a number of changes in recent months with the appointment of its Chief Executive Colette O’Connor the first of the key changes.

Following Ms O’Connor’s appointment last October, Ballyseedy Group Managing Director Nathan McDonnell took on the mantle of president, with outgoing president Kevin McCarthy Managing Director of the Garvey Group remaining in place to take over as Chairperson of the Steering Group. Ronan Deasy – Company Secretary with Kerry Group also remains in place as secretary.

Mark Sullivan – General Manager of the Rose Hotel, Aidan Turner – Proprietor of Turners Bar, Stephen Stack – Senior Branch Manager AIB Tralee and John Reen Managing Director of Murphy Sheehy Insurances were all elected to the Board of Directors.

One of the key goals of this new Chamber group is to strengthen the organisation through Strategic Partnerships forging alliances with pivotal companies in the North Kerry region and build on existing partnerships.

Chief Executive of Tralee Chamber, Colette O’Connor; “We are thrilled to announce AIB as the new SME partner for Tralee Chamber Alliance, we value the relationship with AIB which has been a key support to recent Chamber projects including sponsorship of the Christmas Window competition in 2021 and the return of the Chamber breakfast sessions which are aimed directly at supporting SME’s here in North Kerry through informing them of key supports and updates relevant to their business.”

Speaking following the announcement Stephen Stack, Senior Branch Manager of AIB and chamber board member welcomed the news that the Chamber and AIB would be working together focused on supporting businesses in the North Kerry region.

“Tralee Chamber Alliance is a strong brand in Kerry, and affiliated to Chambers Ireland led by a group committed to delivering results for Tralee and North Kerry. The objectives of the two organisations (Tralee Chamber and AIB) are closely aligned in terms of supporting business whether start-ups or established SME’s and AIB are delighted to be the Chamber SME partner for 2022.

There is also a shared interest in supporting projects that are focused on identifying opportunities available to businesses for green/sustainable initiatives.

“The business breakfast series is an ideal opportunity for business owners  to take on board valuable info , hints and tips in the key areas that will be covered during the series and we are really looking forward to working closely with Tralee Chamber developing the series,” Mr Stack said.

The next in the series of the AIB/Tralee Chamber breakfast briefings will take place on May 19th at the Rose Hotel and is in collaboration with MTU and Kerry Local Enterprise Office, the event is aimed at helping business’s to identify and navigate business funding, training and other supports that are available for their business and staff. Register your attendance by email at info@tralee.ie
