A TRALEE IT student’s sometimes dark and often peculiar brand of humour has been gaining momentum online and from famous comedians (see videos below).

On Facebook, Shane Clifford’s, short comedy videos on his site ‘Shanes Brilliant Page‘ have been watched a combined 359,953 times.

The sketches have even earned the attention of The Rubberbandits who have shared Shane’s video to their 300,000 plus fans on Facebook.

Also a fan is Scottish comedian, Limmy – whose BBC series ‘The Limmy Show’ has a huge cult following across Britain and Ireland.

“This lad is consistently nailing it,” was the message from The Rubberbandits when last night the Limerick duo shared Shane’s latest offering ‘Shane’s Brilliant Variety Hour – PILOT’.

Working mainly out of his kitchen, Shane began posting videos online in Summer 2014. So far the video ‘Aw Class’ has proved the most popular, with almost 100,000 views.

Another sketch that has had a good response is ‘The Crow’ which features a shirtless Shane, musing about the intelligence and personalities of crows.

The crow video even sparked a minor internet spat with Buzz from Hardy Bucks, who was also doling out crow-related material.

But any allegations of plagiarism was smoothed over and thankfully no was hurt.
