TRALEE-BASED company, ViClarity, is expanding to open a new office in Boston.
The company that provide Risk & Regulatory Compliance software in the healthcare and financial services sectors was founded by John “Ogie” Sheehy in 2008.
The intention is to establish a team of sales, pre-sales, customer support, account management and business analysts at the Boston office while the companies headquarters will remain in Tralee.

Mr Sheehy is set to relocate to Boston – with his family – in a bid to continue the growth of the company’s US customer’s base.
Mr Sheehy will fly to Boston next week with the intention of setting up a Boston based team by the end of the summer.
Having already established a strong foothold in both the Irish and the UK market ViClarity were introduced to the US market, through a chance encounter with a customer at a trade show in Denver.
The individual knew someone working in an organisation who worked with a network of Credit Unions in the US and eventually this person became ViClarity’s sales agent on the ground. This led to ViClarity’s first US customers coming on board in Arizona.
ViClarity further expanded their client base in the US in the past few years and now the company are looking forward to taking the next step in scaling the market and opening a US based office.
Winning a place in last month’s Bridge to MassChallenge Cork accelerator competition has given ViClarity an insight into the opportunity of being on the ground in the US with Boston having a large concentration of potential customers in healthcare and the second biggest largest number of fund management organisations in the country.
ViClarity has, in the past 10 years, grown exponentially and secured a strong foothold in both the healthcare and financial services compliance sectors.
ViClarity’s innovative technological software solution helps to bring visibility and clarity to all aspects of compliance. It has secured a high profile client base with healthcare clients such as The Bon Secours, The HSE, Mowlam, NUA, and the NHS in the UK using its technology solution.
In financial services it boasts over 70 Irish based credit unions, Insurance Companies, Community Banks and Fund Managers using the software.
With offices now in Ireland and Boston it continues to grow its client base globally with its innovative technology.
