A Tralee-Based Company Has Received A Huge Grant From The Government

bioatlantisA TRALEE based biotechnology company has received €246,987 in government funding.

BioAtlantis Ltd, who operate out of Clash Industrial Estate, received the substantial sum as part the Seafood Processing Capital Investment Scheme announced by Minister for Agriculture Food and the Marine, Michael Creed T.D.

“These investments will assist seafood enterprises to contribute to the ambitious growth targets we have set for our processing and aquaculture sectors,” said Minister Michael Creed.

Carragh Clams (€14,276) were the only other company from Kerry to benefit from the goverment fund.

BioAtlantis Ltd. was founded in 2004. They describe themselves as a biotechnology company working to provide solutions to problems caused by stresses in plants, animals and humans.
