Tralee Company Wins National Contractor Of The Year Award

A TRALEE business has won a major national accolade at the annual Plumbing and Heating Awards last week, with another local company shortlisted in two categories.

Clash Plumbing and Heating won in the small contractor of the year at the 2017 at the awards ceremony in The Mansion House in Dublin on Friday evening.

The company, founded by Clash man Jeremiah O’Shea over 50 years ago, is now run by his son Trevor and specialise in renewable energies, heatpumps and underfloor heating, solar PV panels and heat recovery ventilation units.

They were nominated for Renewable Energy Project of the Year and were placed third, but won the overall Plumbing and Heating Contractor of the Year prize.

“We are a company who prides ourselves in our work and were overwhelmed when we were announced as winners,” said Trevor O’Shea.

The Bathrooms4U team at the Mansion House last week.

Another Tralee company, Bathrooms 4 U, was shortlisted in the Best Marketing Campaign and Overall Achievement categories.

“Bathrooms4u was honoured to make it to the final three in the Overall Achievement category amongst industry leaders,” said Marketing Manager, Aurelia Gorczyk.

“This category recognises an individual or a company that has enhanced the plumbing and heating industry through their dedication and tireless efforts!”

  1. Another local company Mike Teahan of RBSi was also short listed as manufacturers representation of the year. Born and grew up in tralee and has worked in the plumbing and heating business since school days in the 1990’s with Teahan Heating and Plumbing Ltd.
