Tralee Enterprises And Projects To Benefit from LEADER Funding

A NUMBER of projects and enterprises in Tralee and the surrounding area are among the 133 Kerry beneficiaries of €2.35 million Euro in LEADER funding.

The announcement was made this week by Minister for Rural and Community Development Michael Ring. The LEADER programme funds projects under a diverse range of themes that includes enterprise development, rural tourism, social inclusion and the environment.

Some of the projects in the Tralee and surrounding area to benefit are…

• Spa Fenit Community Council – Churchill Forge €40,000

• Tralee Bay Maritime Centre Ltd – Equipment for Marine Related Training €40,864

• Tralee Harriers Athletics Club – Tartan Surface for Athletics and Casual Running Groups €37,455

• Tralee Rowing Club – Community Accessible Pontoon €32,497

• Harty Foods Ltd €12,919

• Blennerville Derrymore Community First Responders who will receive €2,460 for purchase of equipment and €2,300 for delivery and purchase of training equipment
