Tralee Entry Shortlisted In .IE Digital Town Awards

A TRALEE entry has been shortlisted in the inaugural .IE Digital Town Awards 2021.

The Tralee Chamber entry — the Digital Tralee app and website project — is shortlisted alongside Drogheda and two Sligo projects in the Large Town (10,000+) category, with the winner receiving €9,000 and the runner-up €5,000.

Dingle Peninsula and the Killorglin / Reeks District have both been nominated in the Small Town (up to 2,500) category. Listowel is shortlisted in the Medium Town category.

There are 14 awards in a number of categories with a total prize fund of €100,000 in 2021. The Overall winner in the awards will receive €10,000.

The awards ceremony will be a virtual event and takes place on Thursday, June 10 at 4pm.

The awards are the first pillar of activity under .IE Digital Town which has been developed to address digital enhancement and adoption in Ireland.

The awards promote awareness, knowledge, use and understanding of digital in Ireland by its citizens, businesses and communities.

They also highlight the benefits and possibilities of digital and celebrate the digital achievements of local towns, big and small.
