A SPECIAL celebration was held recently to mark the retirement of the Tralee Golf Club Course Superintendent.
JJ Young retires from Tralee Golf Club after 41 years’ service and the club honoured his service by holding a charity golf competition and dinner attended by club members and guests.

During the evening Club officers including Captain Kevin McCarthy, Lady Captain Margaret O’Shea and Chairperson Teddy Reynolds thanked JJ for his loyal service to the club and the vital part he played in developing the Arnold Palmer designed course into one of the finest links layouts in the world.
In his farewell speech JJ spoke fondly of his time and passion in working with Tralee Golf Club and thanked all members for making his day so special.
