Another busy week for Tralee Harriers Athletic Club.

Tralee Harriers Athletic Club won two awards at the Munster Athletics Star Awards held in Clonmel on Saturday night. The Club won the over all award for Junior and Senior Munster Club of the year. Followed up by Aoibheann O’Brien winning the Munster Junior Indoor and Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

The Club hosted The Valentines 10 Mile Run on Sunday. The new route was well recieved by all 370+ runners and one that all  seem keen to take on again next year.

Dani and Amy O’Sullivan and Rebecca and Grace O’Connor manning the water station at Spar Caherslee for Valentines 10 mile.

The Club would like to thank Tralee International Marathon Director Martin O’Sullivan and his team for a great event, and we would also like to thank all of the Stewards and volunteers and Juveline Club athletes and Coaches for manning the Junctions, roundabouts, water stations and finish line handing out the medals and treats.

The club would also like to thank the race sponsors The Kerryseye and Louis and Collete Byrne’s Spar stores Tralee.

Martin and Tralee Harriers are working together to organise the Tralee Marathon on 18th March. with a total of 4 races in one day. Kerp eye on local press for more details,
The National Senior Indoors Championships take place in Dublin next weekend and the club are sending some of our Junior and U23 athletes up to take part in this highly competitive event. Good luck to one and all.
The U13 to U19 athletes are in full training mode for the upcoming Munster Indoor championships in Nenagh in two weeks. All athletes are expected to attend all training session both in Tralee and Castleisland
Next Weekend Conor Commane is being honoured at the Kerry Sports awards. Conor is recieving the overall Juvenile athlete of the year 2016, following on from setting C.B.P at Ccounty and Munster he secured 4 National Golds and a sliver in indoor and track and field events.  Conor also set a new Indoor National Record in the Long Jump. Great achievement by this rising star.
