TRALEE Harriers came away with a big medal haul from the Kerry County championships held on Saturday and Sunday May 7/8.

Taking part in relays track and field events, the medals won included 19 gold, 19 silver and 11 bronze. In the relay competitions they won four gold, two silver and one bronze.

Other medals were from primary school games and secondary schools athletics.
There were five championship records broken by Aria Collins in the U10 60m sprint and long jump; Alannah Crossan in the U12 high jump; Sean Murphy in U14 javelin and Lucy Mulgrew in U16 80m hurdles.
“The club is super proud of the efforts put in by our Tralee Harriers Family in the county championships,” said a club spokesperson. “All athletes were superb. From all age groups, the U9 to Master level has shows the tallent we have in our club. The coaches are very lucky to have dedicated athletes who want to push themselves and progress in training and competition.”
