REPORTS
Tralee Imperials are so proud of our U12 girls as they played with grit and determination from the outset. Going into this final we were the underdogs and yet they led by 4 end of 1st quarter and by 1 at half time. St Mary’s came out fighting in the 3rd quarter and led by 3 going into the last. The atmosphere was electric in the hall and greatly supported by both teams,  and it was any teams game.

Tiredness caught us in the end and St Marys won on a score line of 24 v 12 which did not reflect the closeness of the game with 3 minutes to go. Well done to all concerned and a massive thanks to all who travelled to support the team.

From Niamh, Elaine & Helen we are so thrilled and delighted at how the girls came out fighting and this only shows what is yet to come.  The team is as follows: Aishling Casey, Laura O’Reilly, Grace Reidy, Aoife Geaney, Cara Gannon, Keelan Coffey, Aine Walsh, Linda O’Connor, Niamh Collins, Mary Moore and Muireann O’Brien. WELL DONE GIRLS
Our U14 boys lost to Caherciveen in the plate final on Saturday in an unusually low scoring game for both sides.  Both teams played their hearts out in a tight game with a final score if 34 – 27.    Congratulations to Caherciveen on a good win.

Unfortunately, half way through the final quarter Dean Rusk (Tralee Imperials) had a fall and was taken to hospital.

We wish Dean a speedy recovery.   We’d like to sincerely thank John Teahan (Caherciveen Coach) and Kathleen Pierce (Tralee Imperials) for the help and support they gave Dean during the game when he was injured and for staying with him until the ambulance arrived.  Thanks also to everyone who travelled to Killarney to support the boys on Saturday.
