TRALEE’S jobless figures is down over 600 on the same month in 2016 according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.
There was a drop of 118 people signing on the live register from March to April in Tralee. The number now stands at 4,301, a fall of around 12% from April 2016. It’s the third month in a row that the jobless number has decreased.

There has been a 15% drop in the number of people signing on the Live Register in the county over the past year, with 9,455 people signing on in Kerry’s seven social welfare offices.
They all reported monthly drops in April with Killarney down the most, down 284 to 1,381.
Kenmare fell 113 to 305, Dingle was down 74 to 539, Cahersiveen fell by 41 to 369, Killorglin was down 40 to 708, and Listowel saw 35 less to 1,852.
