Tralee Jobless Figure Rises Again But It Dropped 13% During 2016

THE live register figures for the Tralee social welfare office dropped by 13% from January to December of 2016, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

However, there was a rise of 78 signing on at the Tralee social welfare office last month, rising from 4,439 to 4,517 and countywide, the December figure was 10,786, a six per cent rise on the previous month.

All seven social welfare offices in Kerry saw monthly increases with Killarney up 214 to 1,854 the largest increase.

Tralee’s jobless figure was 5,186 back in January 2016 but by December it was down to 4,517, a drop of 13 per cent.
