Tralee Jobless Figure Rose Again In December

TRALEE’S live register number increased in December according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The number of people signing on in Tralee last month was 3,145 an increase of 88 on November. That’s still a drop of around ten per cent on December 2018 when the figure was 3,458.

Countywide, 7,393 people signed on last month with all social welfare offices recording a rise with the number increasing by 527 or 7.6% on November. However it’s a drop of around 10 per cent on the December 2018 figure of 8,209.

The Killarney jobless figure is up 178 to 1,278, Listowel rises by 92 to 1,253, Dingle is up 67 to 547, Killorglin rises 45 to 555, Caherciveen is up 29 to 328 and Kenmare rises 28 to 287.
