Tralee LEA Saw 110 New COVID Cases In Fortnight Up To Monday

THERE were 110 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Tralee Local Electoral Area in the 14 day period up to Monday, September 20, according to figures available on the Government’s COVID-19 data hub.

This is a 14-day incidence rate of 332.9 per 100,000 of the population, below the national incidence of 389.8 per 100,000 as of Monday, September 20. It’s the third highest rate of the six LEAs in the county.

In all, there were 467 new cases recorded in Kerry during the fortnight period.

The LEA with the highest incidence in the county is Castleisland which saw 76 new cases and a rate of  443.3 per 100,000. The Killarney Electoral Area saw 127 new cases, a current 14-Day Incidence Rate of 429 per 100k of the population.

Kenmare had 82 new cases, a rate of 327.2 per 100,000. There were 29 cases in the Corca Dhuibhne Electoral Area, a rate of 204.5 per 100,000. The Listowel Electoral Area saw 43 new cases and a rate of 150 per 100,000. There have been 7,886 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kerry since the pandemic began.
