TRALEE Lions Club continued their sterling work in the community with a charity quiz in the Meadowlands Hotel on Thursday.
For a Thursday night in November, there was a very healthy crowd present to participate in the quiz, with funds going towards the Saoirse Foundation’s, Bumbleance campaign.
The Bumbleance is an ambulance designed specifically to meet the needs of very ill children as they go to and from their places of care.
“We have one Bumbleance on the road, we hope to have the second on the road by March of next year,” said Helen Kelly of the Bumbleance campaign.
“It’s with events like this we can meet our goal of having a second Bumbleance launched,” said Helen.
“I was speaking to a father whose child travelled to Dublin in the Bumbleance and he was so happy that it took away so much hassle,” said Helen.
“We also had an event on Wednesday night in O’Donnells organised by the Tralee Lions Club. They are a magnificent help to us,” she said.
