The run which saw him take in Glenbeigh, Waterville, Sneem, Kenmare and Killarney to name a few locations is considered one of the toughest endurance races in Europe.

Supporters had been keeping up to date with his progress on the run through updates on Facebook and through a live tracking system that followed each runner.

Congratulations and well wishes have been flooding in through social media with everyone eager to show their support.

“Born To Run (BTR) since it’s foundation in 2010 has had many great moments, with many great achievements by its members, but tonight was probably the greatest achievement of all by a BTR member. Terence O’Connor completed the 200K Kerry Way Ultra, one of the hardest Ultra-Marathons in Europe. Terence everyone in BTR salutes you, a true legend,” was the message posted on the Born to Run Facebook page on Saturday night.

He’s certainly earned the respect of his fellow athletes but more importantly, he’s earned that long awaited chance to put his poor feet up as well!
