THE young man who died in a crash on the Tralee to Fenit road in the early hours of Saturday morning has been named.
Luke Gleasure (23) from The Kerries West, Tralee, died in the single-vehicle crash at around 3.20am on Saturday morning.
A second man was removed by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry and his condition is currently understood to be serious.
Luke was former student at Gaelcholaiste Chiarrai. The school paid tribute to him this evening on their Facebook page; “It is with great sadness that we learned yesterday morning of the tragic untimely passing of our past pupil Lúcas Gléasúr.
Lúcas was a pupil in Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí from 2008 -2013 and for those of us who knew him we remember him as a bright, affable and charming young man. He was a great character, with great wit and with a very positive outlook on life. He was very well liked by all the school community, students and staff alike and will be fondly remembered by us all.
