Ruth (33) was educated at Balloonagh primary and secondary schools, but it wasn’t until she went to UCC that she started playing rugby. She now plays with Galwegians.

The daughter of Barney and Ann O’Reilly (Barney, a former CEO of Kerry Education Services, was at the game in Scotland to cheer Ruth on), Ruth, along with her team mates got rapturous reception when they  arrived home on Sunday night at Dublin Airport.

Well done to Ruth and all the Irish team on their success.
