Under 10 and 8 boys Blitz in Limerick:
A bus load of players and parents set off for Killeedy Saturday morning from Caherslee. We had enough to field an under 8 team and 2 under panels of 9 players each.

The home side of Tournafulla/Killeedy and neighbouring Limerick side Feohanagh/Castlemahon provided the opposition for a couple of useful games for each Parnells team.

The Limerick players started much more fluently, but half time team talks from Morgan and other mentors settled things down in the break of the first matches and Parnells went on to compete well and gain valuable game time against skillful opposition.

Thanks to the hosts for warm hospitality after the game in their excellent facilities and many thanks to Ger Donnelan for organizing.

Abbeydorney/Parnells Minors:
The Abbeydorney/Parnells Minors played a useful challenge match away to Milford in North Cork Saturday evening.  Good match practice for some of the younger players, with a few older lads not available.

Competition Volunteers Needed:
Parnells needs 12 volunteers (over 16 years of age) for the Rose of Tralee ‘It’s a knockout’ Competition in the town park, Sunday the 20th of August at 3.30pm.

Please text 085135566 if you/ your child/friend wants to take part in this fun event.  Please note this event is on the same time as the Kerry game.

Cúl Camp at Caherslee:
Good luck to all those doing the summer’s Kellogg’s GAA Cúl Camp in Tralee 14-18 August 2017 at Caherslee Road GAA Grounds.  Talking to camp co-ordinator David O Dea he was well excited about the Parnells Cúl Camp and the good numbers booked online.

Semi Final at Croke Park :
Reports from the Parnells bus say they all had a great day at the Waterford vs Cork hurling semi final Sunday the 13th of August.

A class day out in Croke Park with nearly 40 Parnells Kids, coaches and parents. A great game and atmosphere, just what the young players need to see.

To quote one supported on social media, I’m sure Micheál Cassidy is a very happy man coming back to the kingdom….what a super display of hurling. ..up the Déise!
