Under 10s Win Mangan Cup:
Well done to our Tralee Parnells Club under 10s who won the Dr. Bill Mangan Memorial tournament against Rathmore GAA.

On Thursday we congratulated our U10 boys who qualified for Dr. Bill Mangan Memorial Hurling Tournament Thursday evening in Killarney. We traveled with enough players for two teams for the group stage and both teams performed very well, in fact we were unlucky not to get a second team into the plate final.

So, having come through the qualifiers strongly on Thursday, Tralee Parnells under 10s were lined up to face Rathmore in the Saturday cup final.

This was a cracking game played with plenty of skill and passion in the magnificent setting of Muckross House, Gardens & Traditional Farms.

We were down at half time 2-00 to 0-05 but the lads pushed on in the second half and scored 2-04 to win on a final scoreline of 2-09 to 2-03.

Some fine skills on display and another hopeful sign of further growth and development of juvenile hurling in Tralee.

As one parent commented on social media, a great game lots of action, a great day for the boys but especially for Morgan and Ger who give so much confidence to the young team. Parnells Abú

Great Developments for Tralee Players:
It was a hectic weekend for Tralee Parnells Club players who were out the weekend with several Kerry development squads.

At https://www.facebook.com/TraleeParnellsHurlingClub/ we wished best of luck On Saturday to Darragh Reen, Ruarí O Sullivan and the Kerry under 16s in Tipperary, Luke Chester, Jonathan Lowe and Cian Cronin and the Kerry under 15s in Clare, Graham Sheehy, Niall Cassidy Tadhg Reen, Jamie Fitz and Jerome Daly and the Kerry under 14s in Waterford. Then on Sunday it was the turn of the under 14 Camogie players, with and Saoirse Moloney, Katie Dwyer, Clodagh O Sullivan and Shona O’Connor off in the direction of Thurles.

Under 10 Blitz in Tralee on the 2nd:
North Kerry Hurling Board / Bórd Iomána Ciarraí Thuaidh Under 10 Blitz at Caherslee, Saturday, 2 September, commencing @ 10.00a.m.  Hosted by Tralee Parnells.

Kerry under 14 Camogie:
Well done to the 4 Tralee Parnells Camogie players who competed in the inter-county under 14 Camogie tournament in Tipperary Sunday. Good stuff Shona, Clodagh, Katie and Saoirse. Good work by all the Kerry under 14 Camogie panel who took on Cork, Tipperary, Waterford and Laois at the blitz Sunday near Thurles.

A great chance for these players to gel as a team on their way to the big Blitz in 2 weeks in Dublin. Due to late changes, Katie stepped up to the mark in goal for the Laois and Tipperary games and played well, making several good saves, before coming out field later in the Waterford game.

Saoirse won a ball in the half forward which she fed to Amy O’Sullivan for a Kerry goal. Shona came on for the Waterford game where she drove across the 21 before scoring a fine point for the Kingdom, helping them on their way to victory over Waterford in their final game of the day.

Kerry Under 16 Boys:
The Kerry under 16s traveled to Tipperary on the 26th, for the final outing of this 2017 panel.  In the first under 16 blitz game against Limerick, Eric Daly of Ballyduff fed an unselfish pass in front of the box to Darragh Reen of Parnells who turned and rattled the net to earn the first goal of the day and help Kerry to a win over Limerick.

Well done Darragh who was later named on the team bus as most improved under 16 Kerry hurler of 2017.

Under 6 and 8:
Thanks to Causeway under 6 and 8s for a great evening of hurling in Caherslee Friday.
Depending on which child you spoke to the under 6s either drew or lost by a landslide.

Our numbers are growing weekly at under 6 which is great to see so keep the kids coming and start bringing a buddy.
