Record Numbers at Tralee Parnells Awards Night:

We had record numbers of players and parents at the Rose Hotel Tralee on Friday night, to celebrate the largest Awards Night our club has seen to date.

It was great to see all our hurling and camogie teams there to accept the applause and acknowledgement of parents and of all in the club. On past occasions, we would have had guest speakers in to present awards and offer sage words to our young players.

But this year is was a great milestone to have been able to call on our own players at the minor grade to do the honours.

We has a great turnout of lads from the minor panel who contested the county final to hand out awards to the under 8s and 10s and to the older boys.

Our county camogie minor Clodagh Begley kindly agreed to hand out the awards to the under 12 Camogie girls. It was impressive to see the array of silverware on the trophies table on the night and several of the teams posed with trophies in their team photos.

As part of the evening, we had well over a dozen our our Scór music and drama participants give us some tunes and individual performances and the crowd gave warm applause and encouragement to the young performers.

Visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TraleeParnellsHurlingClub/ for photos including under 15 boys posing with the Gary Scollard trophy they won, U12 girls with Féile B medals and certs, U14 girls with Féile B, All-Ireland U14 medals and certs, U16 girls with All-Ireland U15 medals and certs.
