Schools Coaching:
Nice to see this post online from Scoil Eoin, Balloonagh, Tralee. Our three second classes had an active start to Friday morning with a hurling workshop hosted by David O’Dea of Tralee Parnells Hurling and Camogie Club. Here are Mrs. Dennehy’s second class in action. Many thanks to David for the enjoyable, energetic and informative sessions.

Camogie Under 14 players:
1. ParkRun training for Camogie under 14 Players.
All Tralee Parnells Camogie under 14 players please see Teamer invites to www.parkrun.ie/tralee/. This will be part of our preseason training for our U14 Féile team 2108. If any parents are not getting Teamers, please notify MikeRoger ASAP on 0872240437.

2. WhatsApp group to share info with Parents.
To keep in touch with our Tralee Parnells Under 14s Camogie parents, hoping to use WhatsApp to share news and updates.  Once you have the App for on WhatsApp on your smartphone, please message MikeRoger OSullivan or text me on 0872240437 and I will add you to the group. This WhatsApp group for TraleeParnells Féile Panel is to be called TP2018CamogieU14s. Please pass the word to other team parents about this way to keep in touch with our news.

3. Kerry Camogie Féile winners go to June Féile na nGael.
This year the structure for Camogie under 14 Féile will be, an A Féile: CillArd v. Causeway, and a B Féile: Killarney v. Tralee Parnells. The winner of each “division” will attend Féile na nGael in Connaught the weekend of June 8-10. So for us this means playing best of 3 matches against Killarney for the B Féile county title and the right to represent Kerry in the National Féile na nGael for our first time ever as a Camogie club. This is a huge opportunity for our girls, but it will take a lot of hard work and effort in training, if we want to have any chance to try to match Killarney over 3 fixtures.

4. Kerry Féile match dates in March.
The rules are that the date for submission of the winning club names to Croke Park is by Friday April 6, 2018. With Easter long weekend on the 1st of April, available dates for these 3 matches will be limited. The likely dates are 18th/19th of March, 24th/25th of March and another date TBC. If any of your girls have clashes on any of these dates, please notify MikeRoger ASAP on 0872240437.

5. Camogie Training in Early March.
There are lots of clashing activities in February, but to have any chance of being ready to play Killarney we will need to train regularly from the beginning of March. The mentors MikeRoger, Seamus and Anne will be in touch about times and venues. We will likely start Friday the 2nd of March at 630 pm and will look at training a second night in the run up to county Féile matches, possibly Tuesdays or Wednesdays.  Looking forward to seeing as many players as possible Saturdays at 930 am at Tralee Town Park.
