Under 8 boys Blitz:
We travelled to Kilmoyley with close to 30 players for an U8 blitz Monday evening the 8th. Our two teams performed very well with both teams winning two out of their three games. The decision to train this group twice a week since last November is certainly paying off. Well done to the players, coaches and also to the parents for the support.
U12 Girls Blitz in Croke Park:
Please notify Parnells mentors ASAP if your daughter and family members wish to travel, as places will be limited for this prestigious occasion. Under 12 and 10 Girls Camán to Croker Event. Tralee Parnells U12/10 girls have been invited to play in Croke Park on Tuesday, July 7th. We are the only Kerry team among the 54 teams selected to date for the annual Camán to Croker event hosted by the Camogie Association! The match versus Cilard Friday in Kilmoyley was a vital part of the preparation of the older cohort of these girls, for their trip to Dublin. Team Ava, Katie, Aoife, Shona, Saoirse, Clodagh, Caoimhe Donnelly, Amber, Caoimhe Lyons, Anna, Holly. For some of these girls this was their first or second ever match, so well done to all and keep it up.
Under 14 Camogie League:
Parnells hosted Killard in the final game of the league series. It was great to see the good turnout on the night and we were happy to see Tara back in a Parnells jersey. This was good stiff preparation for the league B final vs Killarney. Parnells team Clodagh Begley, Ailbhe Daly, Caoimhe Donnelly, Katie Dwyer, Saoirse Maloney, Clodagh O Sullivan, Lia O’Connell, Shona O’Connor, Tara O’Connor, Aoife O’Sullivan, Hannah Sharkey, Yasmine Sultan.
Under 11 boys at Kerry GAA Night:
The clubs that will participate in the U11 Coaching Sessions at the Kerry GAA Night of Champions at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on Friday 19th June and shown on RTÉ2 television have been chosen! Kerry Football Captain Kieran Donaghy will be coaching Churchill GAA &Milltown/Castlemaine Gaa Club and Tralee Parnells Hurling Club & Kilmoyley Hurling club will be coached by Kerry Hurling Captain John Griffin.
Under 15s:
U15 game v’s Abbeydorney now on in Abbeydorney this Thursday 16th at 6.30pm.
Under 10 boys Blitz:
First under 10 blitz of the year and our lads performed very well. Mighty work done with this group and no doubt the players will continue to improve if they keep coming to training Tuesday and Friday evenings and keep hurling at school and at home. Great morning was had Saturday playing brilliantly in all 4 games showing great pride in the Parnells jersey and all involved had a brilliant morning. Parnells Hurling and Camogie day:
Plans are afoot to host a Parnells Hurling and Camogie day on the 12th of September, the Saturday after the hurling All Ireland. Details to follow.
