Minors vs Lixnaw:
Round 1 of the 1B Minor County League sees Parnells minors face Lixnaw.  In previous meetings, Lixnaw won comfortably at home, then a few weeks later Parnells seemed to have turned their fortunes around, earning a lead that saw them several points around the end of regulation, only to concede 2 very late goals.  It will be interesting to see how this contest goes on Monday evening.  This division also has St. Brendan’s Ardfert and Ballyduff, so 2 more group games coming up for the Tralee side.

Under 16 Boys:
Parnells play Lixnaw Friday the 13th in the U16 plate quarter final, 7pm in Caherslee. Semi-Finals
Friday, 27th July 2018 Time: 7.00pm, Crotta v Winners of (A) Tralee Parnell’s v Lixnaw Venue: TBC (Neutral Venue).

County Under 14 Camogie:
Training continues Monday evenings at 7 in Caherslee.  All nominated players need to attend county training, to be considered for the county panel to contest blitzes in August and September.

Under 10 boys Blitz:
Saturday in Ardfert Our U10 boys played very well in their 3 North Kerry blitz matches against St Brendans, Lixnaw and Kilmoyley, we came away with a draw and two narrow defeats. We’ll done to St Brendans for a well run blitz. Parnells will host the 3rd North Kerry blitz in September. Nice team coming together and if we improve on a few small things we’ll be competing for trophies. Keep training lads and with a full panel we’ll try and retain the Bill Mangan trophy next month in Killarney.

Under 8 Boys:
Congratulations to Tommy Murray who won the Parnells U8 ground hurling Poc Fada Competition this evening in Caherslee. As a result Tommy will be team captain at a challenge game during the summer.

Kerry Camogie Seniors:
Both young and old availed of the opportunity to meet members of the Kerry Camogie Team at their training session at Causeway GAA Club on Friday evening the 29th. Players took time to pose with young players and imparted words of advice to the girls who may one day don the Green & Gold. Thanks to everyone who made the evening such a fantastic success. Just a reminder that Kerry will commence their All-Ireland Championship at home to Clare on Saturday, 14 July.
