traleeparnells 2U12 Girls Blitz in Croke Park:

We now have a full travelling panel confirmed for the Under 12 and 10 Girls Camán to Croker Event at Croke Park on Tuesday, July 7th.

We are the only Kerry team among the 54 teams selected to date for the annual Camán to Croker event hosted by the Camogie Association!  Good luck to all those who will be playing and representing Parnells on the day.

Christy Ring on tour:

Thanks to Kerry hurler and Parnells Primary school coach Colum Harty for giving up his time to bring around the Christy Ring Cup to some of the primary schools in Tralee.

Colum has been working with the club in local schools to help Parnells spread the word of hurling in the town.  Giles O Grady a member of the Kerry Senior Hurling panel also coaches in the schools in Tralee as part of the Club School link is also in the photos on our Parnells facebook page at  https://www.facebook.com/TraleeParnellsHurlingClub

Under 14 Camogie Final:

Tralee Parnells U14 team fiercely contested the County League B Final v. Killarney on Monday, June 15th at Crotta GAA. The final score, in favor of Killarney, belied the outstanding effort and skill displayed by a Parnells team made up mostly of U12 players. Lia O’Connell dominated the game, easily out-striding the opposition on many solo runs to get her team out of trouble.

Her sister, Ruth, made some excellent saves on the goal line. The long puck of Katie Dwyer consistently dropped well into the other half of the pitch. Hannah Sharkey and Shona O’Connor, ably-assisted by the duo of Ailbhe Ni Dhalaigh and Aoife O’Sullivan, had some unlucky misses at the scoring end.

Yasmine Sultan and Saoirse Maloney anchored the Parnells midfield and thwarted many attacks by the opposition. Tara O’Connor once again proved her fearlessness with some heart-stopping block downs. Mentors, supporters and spectators alike were treated to a fast-paced, passionate display by an emerging team.

Thank you to Killarney for a very sporting match. Beidh la eile ag an bPaorach.
Under 15s North Kerry:

U15’s North Kerry Parnells 2-13 Abbeydorney 3-10.
Cracking game in Abbeydorney where we took on the 2014 Feile Champs. It was a massive performance from our lads considering we were missing 3 county players.
We started the game brilliantly and we lead 2-08 to 1-04 at half time . The two Goals were were scored by Sean Hamilton and 13 year old goal machine Luke Chester. Abbeydorney rallied after the break and dominated the first 15mins. Abbeydorney scored 2 goals and with Parnells conceding soft frees the game was level heading into the last ten minutes. Our county players stepped up and we rallied again getting 3 vital scores! Overall a great team performance with every player giving a 100%.

Under 8s blitz:
Another great evening of hurling in Kilmoyley at the Under 8 blitz.  Great to see some of the Kerry hurling stars in Kilmoyley with the Christy Ring cup.  Photos as above, on our Parnells facebook page.
Congratulations:
The Scoil Mhic Easmainn team won Division 3 of the Cumman na mBunscoil final last week. An impressive 9 Parnells player were part of the panel.
