Under 12 Boys:
Good win for our U12s Friday evening against Kilmoyley in Div 1 of the County league.
Our Lads were leading 4-02 to 2-04 at half time but braced themselves for a second half comeback from a Kilmoyley team that were growing in confidence as the game progressed.

Through honest teamwork our boys stuck to the task at every position while coming under pressure from the home team. Aided by good team scores at crucial times Parnells finished up winning on a scoreline of 7-06 to 6-06. Well done everyone.

Under 10 Girls:
Well done to Tralee Parnells Camogie U10’s girls who showed great skill and determination at blitz kindly hosted by Cillard Saturday morning. There was a fantastic turn out on the morning great to see. Well done to mentors Katie Trant and Conor Clifford for a great display of Camogie!

Race Night 2018:
Tralee Parnells main fundraiser of the year took place on Saturday 15th September at 7:30pm in The Rose Hotel and all kids and parents were invited to this event.

Prizes were announced on the night for the best dressed boy and girl and for the horse with the 2 best names. We also raffled off a brand new iPhone 7, a holiday voucher worth €350 and other prizes.

The iPhone was won by Siobhan Corridon, mother of our under 14 Camogie player Aoibhinn.  A great night of fun was had by all.  A huge thank you to all who supported this night.  Special thanks to Roadbridge, the main sponsor of the Race Night and to the Sheehy family for generous ongoing support.

U8’s/U10’s Camogie:
Parnells would like to say a big thanks to Diarmuid of Dynamic strength and conditioning who joined us during the season to help coach our U8’s/U10’s Tralee Parnells Camogie girls. Diarmuid was a huge asset to our teams which also included coaching sessions involving mentors and parents getting everyone involved! Last Friday night was Diarmuid’s last session but we hope to welcome him back again next season.

Gary Scollard Memorial Under 15 Tournament:
Great lineup for the Gary Scollard memorial Under 15 ten a side tournament that takes place September 22nd in John Mitchels GAA complex and Connolly park. Tralee Parnells are the reigning champions and we’ll be hoping for good showing again this year.

Under 10 Boys:
Our under 10s had a great day out at the Jack Moriarty memorial tournament hosted by Clonlara in County Clare.
In game one we were up against the home team and despite playing some of our best hurling of the year we ended up losing by 2 points to a serious team. The efforts of the first game seemed to drain our lads and despite a very good first half performance against Tulla in game two we ended up losing after conceding a glut of goals in the second half.
On then to the ‘C’ final where we played Na Piarsaigh of Limerick. The signs were good for a win after we lead for the majority of the game but a series of bizarre decisions went against us and we ended up losing by 2 points. A few tears at full time but our boys can be very proud of their efforts today against class opposition.
Many thanks to Clonlara for the invitation and well done to the players and mentors. From Clonlara; The Jack Moriarty Memorial Hurling Tournament Saturday September 15 in Clonlara, featuring U9/U10 teams from Mungret, Na Piarsaigh, Newport, Tulla, Tralee and of course Clonlara. The day was underway at 10:30am with the parade of teams led out by a piper who finished with Amhrán na bhFiann.

Under 14 Camogie:
We expect a strong attendance at training for the remaining few weeks of the season. On Sunday the 23rd we face Cillard in our final league group game. Then on Saturday the 29th we have the Veronica Stack Memorial Blitz in Killarney.
