Tralee Parnells team that played in the North Kerry Intermediate Hurling League vs Lixnaw

History Made by Parnells Men:
Below is the list of players on our Tralee Parnells team that played in the North Kerry Intermediate Hurling League vs Lixnaw.
This  milestone game was played in Lixnaw on Friday 5th of April 2019.
It was the first adult team of Tralee Parnells men as far as we are aware, to take part in competition since the 1919 Kerry County Hurling Championship.
A historic new beginning in the town of Tralee, after several years now of underage preparation and progress with the nursery and youth teams.
The Tralee Parnells  team as they lined out, starting with the goalie and including subs who came on during the match:-
Porter Robin,
Ciaran Murray, Ciaran Breen, Johnny Downey,
Eoghan McKivergan, Tadhg Brick (Capt.), Andrew Morrissey
Barry Lyons, Cathal Dunne,
Paul Daly, Cillian O’Riordan, Daniel Teahan
Ronan Gilsenan, Mark Ryall, Danny Maguire
Savage Martin, Tom Crowley, Damien Kissane, Ian Moynihan.
A great milestone for Tralee Parnells Manager Brian Shanahan.

Thank You to Lixnaw GAA:
Many thanks to Lixnaw for the wonderful hospitality after the game and a nice touch when Mike Kelliher presented Parnells Chairman Dermot Reen with a beautiful plaque to mark the occasion.

Scór na bPáistí Drama Title Win:

Under 16 Boys:
Another result from under 16s in the County League. The lads defeated a skillful Kilmoyley team in a stop/start game on a poor playing surface Thursday evening in Caherslee. Our defence played well and Eddie Sheehy in goals had a fine game. We restricted the visitors to long range points and a few well taken goals either side of half time ensured Parnells were generally in control of the game.
Not a vintage performance by our lads but good to keep the momentum going. Final score 3-11 to 0-08.

 Under 10 Boys:
Well done to everyone who made it to the Under 10 blitz held in Caherslee Saturday morning. Parnells fielded two teams and both performed very well. These Go Games Blitz’s are a great easily season opportunity for everyone to get some game time. Thanks to North Kerry GDA Giles O Grady for organising the blitz.
Next blitz should be on the last Saturday in April.

Well done to Oisin O Sullivan, Donnacha Buttimer and Brian Reidy who did so well and
Congrats to Na Gaeil.
Great day for Brian Reidy who was also part of the drama group who won the county final.

Under 12 Boys:
Well done to our U12 team who bounced back from last weeks loss to Crotta with a win over Ballyheigue in Div 1 of the County League. Final score in Ballyheigue, Parnells 4-11 Ballyheigue 3-4.
