Fantastic Féile in Tralee:
Our young players had a Féile weekend that they will never forget.  We will have more photos to post on our social media in the coming days, to go with the wonderful ones we already shared at https://www.facebook.com/TraleeParnellsHurlingClub/

From the matches the boys and girls played in, to hosting both the visiting teams, to marching our the hosts and visitors onto Caherslee behind a lone piper who played Amhrán na bhFiann, to our very own Tralee Féile parade along Caherslee road, to the very enjoyable social evening Saturday with our guest clubs and the presentations of reciprocal gifts, there was an absolute hive of activity around our club from Friday afternoon on.

We will also in upcoming notes post match reports and further accounts of the doings of both our teams and we are so very proud of how they carried themselves throughout, culminating in making history by having Tralee win though the quarter final knockout matches to the semi-final stages Sunday, on both the camogie and hurling fronts.

County Poc Fada: Well done Robin Porter (Senior Hurling), Saoirse Maloney (U16 Camogie) and Garry Lynch (U16 Hurling) who represented the club at the Kerry Poc Fada Competition.
Best of luck to Saoirse who will represent Kerry at Munster level. This is an unique & under-rated event that everyone should support. Participants & followers of all ages (most of whom were pulled in to mark cards & plant flags) really enjoyed the day in the breath-taking scenery of Kerry Head.
Well done Julianne O’Keeffe (Senior, Clanmaurice) and Saoirse Maloney (U16, Tralee Parnells Camogie) on flying the Kerry Camogie flag at the County Poc Fada Competition. They will both represent Kerry at Munster level on Fri June 28, 6P, Thurles Racecourse.
This is an unique & under-rated event that should be on the annual calendar of all small-ball supporters. Participants & followers of all ages (most of whom were called on to mark cards & plant flags) really enjoyed the day in the breath-taking scenery of Kerry Head.
Thank you to sponsors, NK Hurling Board, and to Ger McCarthy and his organising team.

Under 8 Boys:
Sixteen under 8 boys traveled to Ballyheigue in the latest North Kerry Blitz. Our lads played really well and all could have been the man of the match!!!!!!!
This group will now start training on Tuesdays and Fridays evening for the Summer.

Féile Saturday Snapshot:
This posting was put on our social media after the excitements of our four Saturday Féile matches…
A unique John West Féile na nGael 2019 achievement for new kids on the block Tralee Parnells Hurling & Camogie Club in the year that we were inducted by Kerry GAA county board to the ranks of senior GAA clubs in County Kerry.
Not only did we fly our dual club colours high by being hosts to visiting clubs in both Hurling and Camogie, but now the news on Féile Saturday evening is that both our girls and our boys have each won through to semi final matches Sunday morning.
This poses a particular dilemma for the dual families in the club, as tomorrow will be a hard call to make on who do mom and dad love enough to support when the boys line out at Coachford Gaa Club near Macroom, while the girls compete many miles away in the same time-slot at Mayfield GAA in Cork city.
Who would envy the choice to be made by the Harris family, with Cian in the hurling semi final at the same time as Shauna lines out with Tralee Parnells Camogie. Mom Lynda does have managerial duties with the Camogie squad, we hope her son will understand if she cannot manage a time travel miracle to see both games.

Players of the Week:
With all the razzmatazz of Féile there was still plenty of great work going on in Caherslee Friday evening.
Well done to our Under 6 player of the week Michéal Broughton and Tommy Murray our under 8 boys player of the week.
Two great little hurlers with serious potential.
