Under 16 Camogie County League:
On Friday night we were graciously hosted by Causeway Camogie Club in our first match of the long-awaited and much-needed inaugural U16 County League.

We couldn’t be prouder of the huge contribution from every player, 1 to 15. There was a great display of work rate, skill and teamwork. Stalwart defence thwarted a huge number of the attacks by a very strong opposition. Well done to our front 8 on your scoring including 3 well-finished goals.

Next week, we look forward to hosting a combination of Sliabh Luachra and Killarney clubs in our 2nd of 3 group matches. Cup and Shield Finals are scheduled for Sunday September 29.
Looking forward to our Minor County League matches too in September.

North Kerry Under 21s:
Good luck to our Tralee Parnells Hurlers competing in the North Kerry Under 21 Championship being played Tuesday evening.

Under 8 and 10 Camogie:
Parnells Camogie mentors are very proud to say we had over 40 x U8’s and U10’s Tralee Parnells girls hosting our Back to School Blitz in Caherslee Saturday morning!
With 9 x U10’s and 3 x U8’s teams from Tralee Parnells, Killarney, Causeway, Cillard, Sliabh Luachra and AbbeyKilLix participated and there was great camogie played and lots of fun had. The three Tralee Parnells teams did great all their games.
Thanks to all the mentors and youth refs for a very successful day! Well done to all!

Kerry U14 Hurlers:
Well done Rory Reen and Colm Browne of Tralee Parnells Hurling and Camogie Club and all the Kerry under 14s, in the Hurling Squad that took part in the Tony Forristal/Sonny Walsh Tournament in Waterford Saturday.

Under 10 Hurlers:
Well done to our U10 boys on a great performance in Fitzgerald Stadium last weekend. Despite going behind to an early Kilgarvan goal, they fought back to win the Donie Brosnan Memorial Shield in some style. The boys did everything that was asked of them and more! They thoroughly deserved their win. The club is very proud of them.

Ball Wall Training Session:
Many thanks to Diarmuid Brennan on leading a very lively and useful under 16s and 18s Ball Wall training session on Friday evening. These drills are excellent for close control, reaction time and first touch development and skill honing.  They give players exposure to routines that can also be practiced off the gable wall at home.  Diarmuid is the owner of the popular local Dynamic Strength and Conditioning Gym and Tralee Parnells wish him all the best in his move to new premises.

Camogie Train to Croke Park:
This year there is special local interest, with the Kingdom facing off against Limerick in the opening game on Sunday 8th of September.  Tralee Parnells will again this year travel in great numbers as a club to the Camogie All Irelands in Croke Park.
