Annual Camogie Review:

Organisers Suzanne and Carmel had an encouraging turnout of interested people at the 2019 Annual Camogie Review meeting on Friday.   Thus was our annual end-of-season review and pre-season planning meeting.

We welcome all who helped out in 2019. We particularly wanted to see new faces who would like to volunteer for any of the jobs scoped out as part of preliminary 2020 planning.  There are more jobs than ever as we begin the 2020 season: the club has 119 juvenile and 14 adult camogie players, a 37% increase since the beginning of 2019.

A number of people to potentially work in some roles were identified.  However, many more volunteers are needed to cover all the 2020 activities, that we have ambitions to undertake.  So please contact Suzanne and Carmel if you are able to help in any way in 2020 with coaching, officer positions etc., or if you can contribute in any other capacity to give assistance to our teams.

Junior Camogie Tournament in Tralee:

Despite cold conditions, spectators were served a brilliant evening of camogie at the Tom Healy Memorial Junior Tournament in Tralee on Wednesday. The Cup Final saw Tournafulla emerge victorious against Causeway and in the Shield Final, IT Tralee prevailed against Tralee Parnells. Presentations were made by Kerry Camogie PRO Risteárd Ó Fuaráin who paid tribute to all four teams on brilliant displays of camogie.

Many Thanks to the organisers, pitch staff, referees and those who provided refreshments. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.
