The Tralee Parnells U10 and U12 Camogie players that travelled to Cordal GAA last Saturday to participate in Féile na Cúlach as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge.

U12s Camogie

A group of hardy Tralee Parnells Juvenile Camogie Girls travelled  to Cordal GAA last Saturday morning to celebrate Seachtain na Geailge with Sliabh Luachra Camogie Club. The girls ranged in age from U12’s to U10’s and teamed up with Sliabh Luachra to play a series of games demonstrating fantastic skills on the pitch and finishing up the event with a Puc Fada competition which was down to the final Puc with Tralee Parnells taking home the shield on this occasion! Many thanks to Anne from Sliabh Luchra for inviting us and to Michael from Cordal GAA for organising the event which we hope will be an annual event! Well done to all.

Kerry Minor Camogie
Well done to Kerry Camogie Minors last Saturday on their win over Roscommon in Currans. Particular congratulations to the Tralee Parnells Camogie players on the panel, Saoirse Maloney, Lia O’Connell, Katie Dwyer (who scored the winning point!), Ellen Cooke, Aoibhe McKenna, Rachael O’Sullivan and Emily O’Donoghue.

Spring Academy
Training continues every Friday from 7-8pm in the Kerry Sports Academy for our U6 boys & girls, U8 and U10 boys. New players are always welcome & playing equipment is available. Cost of the 6 week Spring Academy is €15 to cover the cost of the hall. All players should wear runners. To register or for more information, please contact Club Secretary David Brick on 0851355566.

Parkrun

Why not join Tralee Parnells Hurling and Camogie club every Saturday morning at 9.30am in Tralee Town Park for the Tralee Parkrun. It’s a great community event where people can get together and walk or run 5k.  Anyone can register at parkrun.ie/register and it’s a free event.  Look forward to seeing everyone there, and make sure to bring your barcode.

Timmy Sheehan
Tralee Parnells extends its deepest sympathies to the Sheehan Family and all in Austin Stacks GAA on the sad passing of Timmy Sheehan, RIP. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílís. Timmy was a great supporter of hurling in Kerry and beyond and he will be sincerely missed.
