St Patricks Day Parade
The Tralee Municipal district of Kerry County Council have organised a virtual St Patricks day parade for this year.

Clubs and societies from around the town were invited to submit a short video as part of the parade.  The parade will be available on YouTube from 12:00 on St Patricks day.  Wishing everybody a very happy St Patricks day.

Seachtain na Gaeilge
The GAA are running a competition as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge for primary and secondary school pupils and also for adults with great prizes up for grabs.

Entries must be in before the 26th March.  Full details are available on this link: https://www.gaa.ie/news/am-comortais-competition-time.

National Club Draw
Please keep up the momentum on selling the National Club Draw tickets as all proceeds will go directly to the capital fund to secure a permanent home and ball wall for the club.

Check-out our social media pages for a short video where our Chairpersons and various club members outline the club’s plan for the use of this fund.  Remember, the top seller will win two tickets to the 2021 All-Ireland Hurling Final (Ts & Cs apply)!

Extra tickets are available from David Brick 085-1355566. We ask that you return all tickets to David by Tuesday 6th April even if they will not be sold as we will need to send all tickets back to Croke Park.   Thank you.

GAA Museum virtual Book Club
While it’s not possible to visit the GAA Museum or its Library & Archives in person right now, you can still learn more about Gaelic Games and the history of the Association by becoming a member of their new virtual GAA Museum Book Club.

Each month the GAA Museum team will choose a well-known GAA book to read and review. At the end of the month, the museum will host a free online interview with the author, in which members can submit questions and comments.

To become a member, sign-up on www.crokepark.ie/bookclub.  This month’s book is ‘The Hurlers’ by Paul Rouse which tells the story of the first All-Ireland Championship and the making of modern hurling.

Lockdown Activities
We recently updated the Lockdown Drills section on our web page https://traleeparnellshurling.blogspot.com/ with some excellent drills that you can try out at home.

Simply search for Lockdown Drills on our Blogspot.las le do thoil. Cé go ndéanann an Cumann scanadh ar r-phoist agus ar cheangaltáin le haghaidh víreas, níl aon chinnteacht go bhfuil ceachtar acu saor ó víris. Ní ghlacann an Cumann le dliteanas ar bith i leith aon damáiste a eascraíonn as víris.
