Keep Active

With just three weeks to go before we we can return to the field we would like to remind all players to keep practising their skills.  Our younger players should focus on the core skills: the pickup, striking, catching and hand passing.  Lots of material can be found online especially on Youtube and on our own blog page (search for lockdown drills).

History Made by Parnells Men:
Friday 5th of April 2019 marked a historic occasion when the adult Tralee Parnells hurling team took part in the North Kerry Intermediate Hurling League vs Lixnaw.  They were the first adult team of Tralee Parnells men as far as we are aware, to take part in a competition since the 1919 Kerry County Hurling Championship.  A historic new beginning in the town of Tralee, after several years of underage preparation and progress with the nursery and youth teams.  The Tralee Parnells team as they lined out, starting with the goalie and including subs who came on during the match:-
Porter Robin,
Ciaran Murray, Ciaran Breen, Johnny Downey,
Eoghan McKivergan, Tadhg Brick (Capt.), Andrew Morrissey
Barry Lyons, Cathal Dunne,
Paul Daly, Cillian O’Riordan, Daniel Teahan
Ronan Gilsenan, Mark Ryall, Danny Maguire
Savage Martin, Tom Crowley, Damien Kissane, Ian Moynihan.
A great milestone for Tralee Parnells Manager Brian Shanahan

Sympathies:
Tralee Parnells would like to express our sympathies to the Barry family Oakpark on their recent bereavement.
