Return to Play

After a long period of lockdown there is great excitement in the club this week as our hurlers and camogie players prepare to return to training.  Like last year, parents or guardians will need to complete the online Health Questionnaire on the morning of training day.

All players are reminded to follow the guidelines outlined here.  Full details will be issued by the team managers and posted on social media this week.  We look forward to seeing everybody back in Caherslee next week.  Remember to keep practising those skills and drills !.

Guidelines when returning to Training:
Before training:
– Complete the online health questionnaire. No questionnaire completed, No training/match
– Travel alone (unless with another family member)
– Bring a clearly labelled water bottle
– Write your name on your hurley(s)
– Come togged out as dressing rooms will be closed

On arrival:
– Arrive no more than five minutes before training is due to start
– Meet with your team’s COVID Supervisor and once he/she has confirmed the questionnaire has been completed/updated, he/she will direct you to your training location
– Sanitise your hands using the dispensers provided at the pitch
– Keep two Hurley lengths from other players while making your way to the training area

During training:
– Listen and follow the instructions of the coaches
– If called in between exercises, keep the two Hurley length distance between the other players

Attendance at Training:
Only players and coaches of the relevant team should attend any training session. One Parent or Guardian per family is allowed to attend in a safeguarding /supervisory role involving any team in the U-18 or below age group, should they consider it necessary. However strict social distancing and public health guidelines should be adhered to at all times. In particular, it is important that parents do not congregate in groups before or after sessions.

Membership registration is open and this year we are using the Clubforce application.  Registration can be renewed at https://clubforce.com/clubs/gaa-tralee-parnells-hurling-camogie-club-kerry/ or by downloading the App.  If you already have the app you just need to add Tralee Parnells as another club.  We would appreciate if everybody could renew their membership before we return as this will really help the team managers and covid officers, thank you.  Membership fees for 2021 are as follows:
