U12 Boys

Tralee Parnells U12s who played in the County League Final in Crotta at the weekend.

The U12 boys played the county league final in Crotta on Saturday. The format for the day was a three game blitz and Parnells were in a group with Crotta, Firies and Ballyduff. The boys faced hosts Crotta in the opening match and put in very strong performance to come away with a narrow win.

Parnells faced Ballyduff in the second game and after tough encounter, once again came out in top. In the final match Parnells faced a Firies team that had also won their opening two games. Firies had the better of the opening half but Parnells rallied in the second half.

Midway through the second half despite being under constant defensive pressure Firies scored a goal on a counterattack. While Parnells kept attacking to the final whistle, the Firies goal held firm. While Firies were deserving winners on the day, the Parnells boys can be very proud of a season in which they won six of their seven matches. Lots to look forward to in 2022.

U14 Camogie

Tralee Parnells U14s who recently played in the Div 1 Shield final v Cillard

The U14 Camogie season came to a close last weekend when they played in the division one shield final against Cillard. Although they didn’t come away with the silverware on this occasion the girls did what was asked of them and played their hearts out and left everything on the field! The management team were delighted with the performance and progress on display on the pitch and are very proud of the girls.  The management team would also like to thank the U12’s that played up during the season to ensure that they always had a full squad on match days. Finally, we wish the girls moving up to U16’s next season the very best for next year.
