U7 Hurling

With almost 30 players in attendance it was a very busy training session for Tralee Parnells under 7’s last Friday evening. There was a buzz of excitement in the air with talk of their upcoming match against Crotta on Monday evening, these young players are definitely looking forward to showing their supporters the benefits of the hard work they have put in at training. Congratulations to this week’s player of the week Tomás Kelleher, well done Tomás.

U8 Camogie

The U8’s had a fantastic training session in Caherslee as there was a great display of skill by all of the girls. This week the coaches added an obstacle course which proved to be a big hit. Every girl gave 100 % in the training session. This weeks player of the week is Clara Kate O Connor, well done Clara Kate.

Our U9s played Crotta in Caherslee on Tuesday evening.  It was great to see so many playing and enjoying themselves. Well done to all the boys who put in a great display of skill and effort.

U12 Camogie

Congratulations to the U12 Amber team who played a highly contested league game against Cillard on Monday night in Caherslee. It was a nail biting game which was hugely exciting. All the training and practice was very evident. Well done to all the players.

The Tralee Parnells U14 Amber Team who played Ballyduff in Round two of the County League

U14 camogie

Great effort by the Amber team against visiting team Ballyduff in Round 2 of the u14 County League. We battled hard from the very start, won some great balls and carried the ball forward putting pressure on the visitors. They were a stronger side but we can be proud that we worked hard as a team & succeeded in keeping the pressure on. Onwards & upwards to the next round!

Scór na bPáistí

The GAA Scór na bPáistí competitions for primary school children will soon get under way. We would like to hear from parents of any younger club members who would like to have some fun and represent Parnells in any of the competitions: Figure/Ceilí Dancing, Solo Singing, Storytelling, Ballad Group, Stage Presentation, Instrumental Music, Set Dancing or Table Quiz.  If interested, please contact our Scór officer Damien on 083 048 6976

Summer Camp 

There are still some places available for the club Summer camp for boys and girls aged 5 to 13.  The camp will run from Monday 18th to Thursday 21st of July, 10 to 1pm. Non-members are welcome.  Hurleys and helmets will be available to borrow from the club.  Come along and give hurling a try. Check our social media pages for the booking link

Féile na nGael  

The U15 boys will leave Tralee on Friday afternoon as they head for the Royal County for the Feile finals.  The venue has moved to St. Patrick’s GAA Club in Stamullin.  The group matches will take place on Saturday morning with .

We hope that as many friends and supporters of the club can come along to support the boys on this momentous day for this group of players and for the club.

Everybody at the club wishes the very best of luck to all the boys and to Brian and his management team next weekend.  Parnells abu !

Congratulations

It was another busy week for club members representing our county. Well done to the Kerry U14 academy squad who had wins over Wicklow and Laois at the weekend in O’Moore Park, Laois. Parnells were represented by manager Brian Sargent and players Kyle Benson, Christian Kennedy, Luke Hanafin and David Sargent.

Tralee Parnells U15 players Cian Harris, Eoin Costelloe, William Sommers, Dan Moloney, Tomas O’Connell and Jack Canty on the Kerry Panel that defeated Westmeath at the weekend

The Kerry U15 hurlers were also in action and had a comprehensive win over Westmeath in Laois. Parnells were represented by Cian Harris, Eoghan Costello, William Somers, Dan Maloney, Thomas O’Donnell and Jack Canty

Our U14 camogie players were also busy as Anna o Sullivan, Eimear Dillane, Jessica Leen, Orla Costello, Caoilinn Culloo, Anna Chute and Georgia Kennedy lined out for Kerry in a Munster development blitz against Cork, Waterford and Tipperary.  The blitz took place at the WIT sports arena at the weekend.
Sympathy

Tralee Parnells Hurling & Camogie Club would like to extend our sincere sympathies to club treasurer Ger O’Connell on the recent passing of his uncle Canon Moss O’Connell.  Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílís.
