Coaching Workshops:
Parnells would strongly encourage as many of our volunteer mentors as possible to attend the upcoming Kerry coaching workshops. Workshop 1 is for Target Group Under 14, 16. Minor etc age coaches Sat 11 Feb 10 am to 12.30 at IT Tralee.
Presented by Kerry Senior Hurling Management team of Fintan O Connor, Ian Brick and Damian Ryall.
Maurice Leahy will coordinate the workshop. Focus on Skill Development, support play, tackling drills, inter passing and scoring drills, Physical Development of players, performance and video analysis,
Nutritional advice for players, rehabbing injuries. Workshop 2 for Under 6/8/10/12 Coaches Sat 18 Feb, further details to follow.
U14 U16 Training Friday:
Under 14 and 16 hurling training is starting on Friday evenings. Please keep an eye out for text notifications from mentors.
Club Scór Quiz Night:
On Wednesday 15th Feb Tralee Parnells internal Scór Quiz will take place in Collis Sandes at 7.30 pm. Contact Ger Reidy 087-7980710 by text, stating name of participant and email address. This internal club quiz is for primary school pupils only and would suit 5th and 6th class pupils best, however all ages are welcome to participate.
Tuesday Training U8 U10 :
Our under 8’s and 10’s are back in action this Tuesday from 6 pm to 6.50 in the Complex Tralee. New players are welcome. For boys and girls born in 2007 ’08 ’01 ’10. This Academy runs from 07 Feb to 14 Mar.
RTE Nationwide Story with Local Interest:
For anyone who missed RTE Nationwide program on returned immigrant families last week, there was a fantastic story about Chris and Carmel Maloney, their move from New York to Ballymac and the setting up of the Ballymac dairy business.
The Maloney family are great supporters of the club with Carmel the Chairperson of Tralee Camogie club and Chris the Under 6 manager for many years. The program is available on RTE player online at http://www.rte.ie/player/show/10681501.
