Parnells Launch Night 7th April:

April 7th is the night under 6s will join all other age groups in restarting training.  So, our Tralee Parnells 2017 season Official Launch Night will take place at Caherslee Road GAA grounds on Friday evening the 7th of April.  See you there.

Easter Camp Tue 11 April:

Once again this year, Tralee Parnells will hold and Easter Camp for 7 to 14 year olds. This will be during the Easter Holidays.   Tue 11th to Thu 13th April, 10 am to 1 pm each day at Caherslee, only EUR25 per player, open to members and  non members.

Tralee Parnells Healthy Club Project:

As part of Tralee Parnells healthy club project we are asking Kerry clubs and schools to send at least one coach/teacher to a talk on concussion.

This is a free event and is designed specifically for GAA coaches at all levels and anyone involved in coaching children in schools.  The talk will be held on Wednesday 5th April, 7:30 – 8:30 pm at Na Gaeil GAA Club.

The talk will provide up-to-date information on how to appropriately identify, respond to and address concussion injuries in athletes. It will also cover the short and long-term health consequences of concussion, coaches role in concussion assessment, return-to-play guidelines and how coaches can communicate to their athletes about concussion.

Thanks for Marching On Friday:

A big thank you to all the members and supporters who marched with us.  The theme for the 2017 parade was: A Celebration of Tralee Sport.

So, with a strong turnout on a damp day, Tralee Parnells have shown the people of Tralee just how many of us locally are enjoying and supporting hurling and Camogie in this area. As part of our Healthy Clubs initiative, we highlighted our ongoing association with Jigsaw Kerry.

On St. Patrick’s Day, our girls proudly sported the Jigsaw Kerry logo on their jerseys and displayed a banner in support of Jigsaw’s work to promote positive mental health within our community. Well done to the musicians and organisers who staged our first ever music float this year.

Kerry v Offaly Sun 26 Mar:

Tralee Parnells will hold a collection outside Kerry v Offaly game on the 26th. This game should draw a big crowd, so Parnells volunteers are needed to help on the day.

Please contact club mentors if you are available to help. We also hope to see our under 10’s play at half time of that game, so a good day to fly the flag for the club and for Hurling and Camogie development in Tralee.
